Los Angeles County Consolidates Workers’ Comp on PCIS ClaimsVISION System
The nation’s largest county by population has begun an initiative to implement ClaimsVISION as its single, central workers’ comp claims administration system.
The County of Los Angeles is implementing P&C Insurance Systems, Inc.’s (PCIS) ClaimsVISION to manage claims for the County’s Chief Executive Office Risk Management Branch, which oversees workers’ compensation for all of the County’s employees, according to a PCIS statement. ClaimsVISION will serve as the County’s single workers’ compensation claims system.
ClaimsVISION will be deployed in a SaaS mode within an implementation project that will require the migration of 30 years of data, including over 500,000 claims, 80,000 vendor records and 1.9 million documents, according to PCIS. Los Angeles’ workers’ compensation claims administration operation includes over 900 users, four TPAs and numerous third-party suppliers. Los Angeles is the largest county by population in the United States.
